McDonald's- The Good, The Bad and Ugly

Our Food brought to us by Rebechia
(435) 688-2199 - 1911 W Sunset Blvd, St George, U

Chuck and I went to the McDonald's on Sunset Blvd today. This is part two of the fast food reviews.

Chuck and I walked into the McDonald's and it was really clean. You can tell that there is no school for kids since the play area was full of kids squealing with delight. Right now this is the only McDonald's in St. George that has the play-land until the new one reopens on St. George Blvd.
Healthy Options; My Meal

McDonald's actually offers a great selection of healthy options for those who want to watch what they eat and loose weight. I usually stick to these options when I go there. Thankfully with all the food listed on this review, not all was eaten and just sampled. But if you were to eat the full order/items, the information is provided.
Fruit and Yogurt Parfait

Fruit 'n Yogurt Parfait (7 oz)- I think out of everything I get at McDonald's this is my favorite item. It has the right balance and doesn't make me feel over full and fulfills my sweet tooth in a natural way. It has low-fat plain vanilla yogurt, strawberries and blueberries and if you would like to top it off with granola you can do that as well. There is 160 calories, 20 calories from fat, 2 grams of fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, 85 grams of sodium, 31 carbs and 21 grams of sugar.

Fruit and Maple Oatmeal

Fruit and Maple Oatmeal- I really liked this for the most part. When I go out to eat alot of times I will have oatmeal for breakfast. Their description of the Fruit and maple Oatmeal is; "We take warm and delicious 100% natural whole-grain oats and combine them with brown sugar and a touch of cream. Then we get fruity, with diced fresh apples, dried cranberries and two kinds of raisins." The only negative thing I can say about this item is that it needed to have a bit more brown sugar. I couldn't tell if it was in hiding or what. I would buy this again, but would want to know where the brown sugar is at in the restaurant :) Here is a breakdown of what the nutritional information is on this item. There is 260 calories and 40 calories from fat, 4.5 grams of fat and 2 grams of saturated fats, 115 mg of sodium, 48 carbs, and 18 grams of sugar.

Side Salad with Dressing
Side Salad with Low Fat Balsamic Vinaigrett- I added a side salad to my order today. It had tossed salad with cherry tomatoes and carrots... It was the right size and the dressing was really good. This option 20 calories for the salad, and 40 calories for the dressing, 20 of those are from fat, 10 mg of sodium for the salad and 730 mg from the dressing, the dressing had 3 grams of fat, and 3 grams of sugar.

Diet Coke- I am not a fan of diet coke at all. But they have coke products... And I had a Diet Coke. There was no calories in this choice...

Big Mac
My Not So Great of a Choice:

The Big Mac- I don't really order these very often. I like them, but I can tell they are not the best choice to be making. But today I thought  I would put this on my order for the purpose of the review. Good thing I don't eat all the food I order for these reviews... There is 540 calories and 260 calories from fat, 29 grams of fat, 10 grams of saturated fat, 1.5 trans fats, 1040 mg of sodium, 45 carbs and 9 grams of sugar.

Total Calories: 1000 calories
Total Fat: 38.5 grams of fat
Fat Calories: 340 calories
Total Carbs: 124 total carbs
Total Sodium: 1250 mg of sodium
Total Sugar: 51 grams of sugar

Chucks Meal- Unhealthy

Chuck ordered what he normally gets for the most part. He didn't seem to complain about anything. Which is a plus in my book.

Black Angus Bacon and Swiss W/Large Fries
Black Angus Bacon and Swiss- He isn't much for veggies, so he had this with no mushrooms since it is actually a Angus Burger with Mushrooms, Bacon and Swiss. He had no lettuce or tomatoes on it. I don't think it is going to make a big difference in calorie counts since neither of those items have more than 10 calories in them... So out went the healthy... This burger has 770 calories and 360 calories from fat, 40 grams of fat, 17 grams of saturated fats, 2 trans fats, 1170 mg of sodium, 59 carbs, and 8 grams of sugar.

Large French Fries- We all know fries are not a healthy option, so here it comes for all your French fry junkies out there... So here it goes, there are 500 calories and 220 calories are from fat, 25 grams of fat, 3.5 saturated, 350 mg of sodium, 63 carbs, and no sugar.

Sweet Tea (2 including free refill) - 280 calories per 32 oz cup, 15 grams of sodium, 69 carbs, and 69 grams of sugar, now lets time that by 2 cups.

Total Calories:  1830calories
Total Fat: 65 grams of fat
Fat Calories:  580 calories
Total Carbs:  260 total carbs
Total Sodium:  1535 mg of sodium
Total Sugar: 146 grams of sugar

Other: Daughter Had

Frappe Caramel
Frappe Caramel (Small)- Wow, what a sugar rush this drink has in it... I tried it and was too sweet for me. But I know many who love them. My sister, daughter and niece love these things. I wanted to see what all the hoopla was about, so had to try a sip of it.. The calories in this sugary wonder is 450 calories and 180 from fat, 20 total grams of fat, 13 grams of saturated fats, 1 trans fat, 135 mg of sodium, 61 carbs,  and 57 grams of  sugar

McDonald's Nutritional Guide

Overall Experience: We were greeted fast and with a smile. Rebechia rang us up and carried our food out to us and I really liked Sandra and Panda I think her name was... Everyone was doing their job and having a good time... There has been times when going in this location that people seem to just have a cloud hanging over them... This was not the case today.

My personal feeling on this review is that McDonald's can be a great place to eat, however I wouldn't go there everyday and eat Big Macs, lol... You can have things if you use them in moderation. What's nice about McDonald's also is that they offer some good choices for kids. My grandson JJ likes to eat here and he doesn't get the fries. He will get the apples and the apple juice or milk... McDonald's also offers alot of choices if you are on a budget and you can afford to feed your family here without breaking the bank.

Taco Bell- The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Today my husband and I went to Taco Bell on Sunset Blvd.
The Address is 1418 West Sunset Blvd, St. George - (435) 674-2314

We went to lunch around noon or so and there was only one other couple in the restaurant... Chuck and I went over to the counter and ordered. I decided to order healthy and he ordered not so healthy...

I decided to order off of the Fresco Menu... Which means there is no cheese or sauces on the items from this list.

Healthy;
Fresco Chicken Soft Taco- It was pretty good, but needed to have sauce added... So I toped mine with the fire sauce. Much better, otherwise it was kinda bland for my taste.
  • This choice was 170 calories of which 35 of those were fat calories. It had 4 grams of fat, 1 gram of saturated and 680 mg of sodium and 22 grams of carbs and 3 grams of sugar...

Fresco Crunchy Taco- I think Taco Bell has the better shells out of all the places in town. Other than that, my taco was lacking in substance. I took pictures of it and it was barely a 1.4 of a inch thick. Now granted, Taco Bell has pretty low allowances on the weights of each item they put into a taco or other items. I use to work for Taco Bell, and even according to their standards, mine was not close to those standards.
  • This choice has 150 calories of which 70 are fat calories. It has 7 grams of fat and 2.5 grams of saturated fats. It comes in at 350 mg of sodium and 13 carbs and 1 gram of sugar.
Total Calories: 320 calories
Total Fat: 11 grams of fat
Fat Calories: 105 calories from fat
Total Carbs:  35 total carbs
Total Sodium: 1030 mg of sodium
Total Sugar: 4 grams of sugar

Not Healthy;

I also ordered a not so healthy option... It was the specialty that was posted on their windows. I decided to add this option to my order. I thought it tasted good, but it looked nothing like the picture. It pretty much looked like someone threw up in my burrito... But then again, how many times does our food look like that when we get it in our grubby little hands.

Beefy Crunch Burrito
Beefy Crunch Burrito; Layers of seasoned ground beef, rice, warm nacho cheese sauce, reduced fat sour cream and Flamin’ Hot Fritos wrapped in a warm, flour tortilla. This is what the description was on their website...  I went to thier website and it doesn't show the nutritional guide for this item... I can only imagine how many calories and fat is in this item... Maybe it's a good thing I don't know...

My husband Chuck ordered what he always orders. He ordered a Steak Quesedilla without sauce, Beef Enchirito minus the onions and a basic crunchy taco with a 32 ounce Mountain Dew.  So lets break down his meal. Chuck was pretty much happy with his order. This is one of a very few times they never messed up his order... Seems to happen alot at this location.
  • Steak Quesadilla W/O Sauce; This choice has 520 calories of which 250 of those calories are from fat. It has 28 grams of fat and 12 grams of saturated fat. It also comes in at a whopping 1250 mg of sodium, 41 carbs and 3 grams of sugar.
  • Beef Enchirito W/O Onions; This choice has 350 calories of fat and 150 fat calories. It comes in at 17 grams of fat and 7 grams of Saturated fat. It also offers 35 carbs, 1380 mg of sodium and 2 grams of sugar...
  • Crunchy Taco- This choice has 170 calories of which 90 calories are from fat. There is also 10 grams of fat and 3.5 grams of saturated fat. This option also has 330 mg of sodium and 12 carbs and 1 gram of sugar.
  • 32 oz Mountain Dew- Empty calories here... This choice has 420 calories, 109 carbs and 109 grams of sugar. YIKES and Double YIKES....
Total Calories: 1460 calories
Total Fat: 55 grams of fat
Fat Calories: 490 calories
Total Carbs: 197 total carbs
Total Sodium: 2960 mg of sodium
Total Sugar: 115 grams of sugar

For More Nutritional Information go to their website...

Over all experience; The store was pretty clean for the most part, but there was only a couple guests in here... I did like the cashier. It seemed like there were a few hazards around the store... I would have thought they were because of the rain had it not been that I go to this location from time to time. The ceiling tiles were a mess, some were missing, water leaking and wires hanging out.... Things like this. You would think eventually they would come and fix these issues since they are ongoing.  There was wet floor signs up, which is a good thing. They serve Pepsi, which is a plus...  I must say that alot of times this location would smell really bad or would be smoky. Neither of those things existed today.

If you are looking for half way decent food in my opinion, Taco Bell has some great prices and they have a decent Why Pay More menu... My husband thinks Taco Bell is The PLACE to eat... He loves it, and I tolerate it, lol...

This is one of those reviews that is Good and Bad- Depends on who you talk to... If you talk to my husband who eats whatever is in front of him for the most part and Taco Bell can do no wrong, then you will love it... On the other hand, it is not up there on my list of must go places...

Rachel's Coffee - Washington Utah

Rachel's Coffee

471 W. Telegraph in Old Town and Country next to WalMart
WashingtonUT84780

When you come to Rachel's and if you aren't familiar with the city of Washington, I would suggest you look for the old western town nestled next to the Walmart.  I loved the look of the buildings that surround Rachel's. It kinda reminds me a a mini Old Tucson.  The Town and Country setting has so much charm it will make you want to bring your horses and wonder where the hitching posts are located. I didn't find the hitching posts, but there is a parking area and from the looks of it, you can park on the street.

Come on in and kick off your shoes seems to be what this really cute coffee shop is screaming. You feel like you are at home from the moment you open the door till the time you leave.

Rachel's Coffee has a very homey feel to it. As soon as we came in my grandson was hearing the sofa calling his name and plopped himself down on the couch and grabbed a book to read. He is only three, so it was more of looking at pictures. He was enjoying Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Today I decided to try the hot chocolate with mint in it. There is no way in my way of thinking to go wrong when you put chocolate and mint together. The combination is like a marriage in Chocolate Heaven... Simply irresistible! Even my grandsons Marvin the Martian was enjoying my hot chocolate. I am not a person that likes things that are overly sweet, but this was the perfect blend of chocolate and mint in my personal opinion.

My brother in law ordered hot chocolate with caramel. He seemed to really enjoy his choice. I am not a huge caramel fan, however I tried his and it was very good.  My grandson loved his choice as well. He went for the never fail apple juice. I was very happy to see that they offered choices for children. I was wondering about this knowing I was doing a review of them. Since JJ comes with me on alot of my food adventures, it's nice to know there is something for the little man.

Door from the ReStore
Rachel also has a very cute theme going with her Coffee Shop and I was quite impressed. She tries to use as much stuff from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. I absolutely love going there and seeing what I can find and make something out of something someone else didn't want or need any longer. The Restore is located at Southwest Utah ReStore, HFH of, 267 E 1400 S St George, UT 84790, Phone:, (435) 628-4041. Click here to find out more about Habitat for Humanity and all the services they offer in our area as well as around the world...

Rachel's has many thing to offer just about anyone. They don't serve soda, however they are available at the little store next to it. You can go to Rachel's and get one of a kind gifts. I thought the little cupcake socks were adorable. I may have to go back in there and get one for a friend. Rachel stated that her mom made them. I love homemade gifts and what better than a gift that mom makes?  There are neat little finds all over the Coffee Shop. You can also find Rachel's Coffee on facebook... Check out the specials and all the other interesting things they offer.

ServiceExcellent:
Cleanliness: Really Clean
Price: Good- Better than most other coffee shops
Atmosphere- I really liked the atmosphere. I reminiscent of going over to a friends house and being welcomed into their home and kitchen. You know you belong and are family.

Overall: A very positive experience. They have it where you can have meetings and groups over there. I am thinking I need to work on a much needed project and finalize all the details and hold it at Rachel's. This is a 100% thumbs-up... They have been open for two months and I can foresee them being around for a long long time..

Saturday

Red Robin- Washington Utah

Hours of Operation and Location:

640 W Telegraph St
Washington, UT 84780
Sun-Thurs: 11a-10p; Fri-Sat: 11a-11p

I done a food review of Red Robin once before and felt this was in need of a second one.

My grandson JJ was hungry and we decided to go get some lunch. Since we were in Washington and it has been some time since going to Red Robin, we decided to conquer their wonderful Gourmet Burgers.

Upon entering Red Robin it was like stepping into a world of color and family get together. I am sure there were some groups there to watch the football game on the TV’s that are placed all around the restaurant. My 3 year old grandson was having a blast when it came to the balloons and watching the football games.

We were seated quite fast even though the place was busting at the seams. They have a system that works for them. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant and our waiter came to our table with menu’s a lot faster than we were expecting. Connor was also very nice when it came to asking him a question. I asked Connor if they would honor a coupon I had even though the Roadrunners were no longer together. The waiter(Connor) went to the manager(Daniel Drown) and asked him if they would honor the free kid’s meal still and he was more than willing to and even told us about some awesome deals by joining the birthday club. What I thought was cool is that even adults can join and get a free burger on their birthday. But you have to go to their website and sign up for it. He was also telling me about reloadable reward cards. I actually thought this is a cool idea.

But I should get down to business with the review of the food;

I ordered this Burnin Love Burger and it was so yummy. I don’t even want to ask how many calories are in it, but it was so worth it. This is the description they give you on their website.

You’ll get fired up for the crispy-fried jalapeño rings, tangy salsa and spicy Pepper-Jack cheese layered on top of our cayenne-seasoned burger. It’s topped with shredded lettuce and fresh tomatoes to cool things off and served on a jalapeño-cornmeal Kaiser roll with Chipotle mayo. The only thing I would change on it is less salsa, and that’s just because I’m not a big salsa fan. The combination of everything was awesome and worked great together. The crisp-fried jalapeno rings was what sold me on the burger. If you do not like spicy, I would say stay away. But if you do, you should give it a whirl. My choice was priced at $9.49 and I would pay that again.

Craig ordered the Whiskey River BBQ Burger and he was totally pleased with his choice. The description they posted on their website on this burger is;
Don’t be afraid to get a little saucy. Basted with our signature Whiskey River® BBQ Sauce and lassoed together with Cheddar cheese, crispy onion straws, lettuce, fresh tomatoes & mayo. The cost on this burger was $9.49 and was totally worth it.

JJ ordered off of the kids menu and he wanted the spaghetti with a side of apples. I think he was more impressed at the time with the apples since this is one of his favorite foods. What is nice about these apples are that they are fresh apples. JJ was having a good time there and had no complaints at all… If JJ is happy where we eat at then GG is happy where we eat at. JJ’s food was the best price of all “FREE”. Hurray for free. If it wasn't his birthday, the price is very reasonable. I believe what he ordered was like $4.79 or right around there.

Next time I go there I am going to have to try the Mountain High Mudd Pie. Oh my goodness, look at this picture of this pie. How can you not want that? I would have gotten it, had I not been so full from the bottomless fries and my yummy burger. Next time I am going to have to have dessert first. I think that sounds like a good action plan.

Mountain High Mudd Pie Description;
Our special creation of chocolate and vanilla gourmet ice cream mixed with Oreo® cookies, fudge and caramel on a chocolate cookie crust. Served in a pool of chocolate fudge and caramel sauce topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

Over all Rating:

Service: Very fast and curteous
Cleanliness: Very Clean
Price: This is where I say you get what you pay for. The average cost is around 8.00 on up, but worth every penny of it. Plus you get bottomless fries with each order.
Hours: Sun-Thurs: 11a-10p; Fri-Sat: 11a-11p
Atmosphere: It’s a little loud, but you need to take into consideration that this is a family style dining area, they have sports on TV, so expect some noise, but not too bad and not enough to keep me away.

Overall Experience: We had a really good time at Red Robins and would most defiantly be going back. One day I will get to the point of having dessert. I really liked our waiter and thought it was great that the manager came to the table to talk to us and to say hey to JJ. I have never had bad service here, maybe too much food. I won’t complain about that. Only bad thing about Red Robin and if anyone knows me, I am a Diet Pepsi drinker and they have Coke products. But they do offer many alternate choices, so I was ok with that.

Friday

Samurai 21- St. George, Utah

Samurai 21 Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi, Saint George, Utah

Tonight we decided to go to Samurai 21 in St. George, Utah for my daughter Rebeckiah's birthday. We have gone here a number of times and she really likes it and we have always had great service. However this time was different!

We arrived around 4:30pm for dinner. There was 4 adults and 3 children in our group. I did order one kids mealfor the children at because they don't really aren't fond of Samurai 21. I was thinking they may take a bite or two of rice. I paid for my daughters meal and Bridgette and Craig paid for their own... There is a reason I am bringing this up, so please read on...

We sat down and ordered our drinks and food. I ordered a Diet Pepsi, yay for Pepsi products and my brother-in -law had Diet Pepsi as well. Everyone else had water.

We placed our orders which ranged from $15.50-$17.50 per person... The price includes salad, soup, and rice and if you want fried rice or noodles it is slightly more, or should I say it use to be slightly more... I had the steak and scallop combo and as far as the food goes the flavor was really good. My scallops were fried beyond recognition however. They had alot of sauce and was overcooked, which made them somewhat rubbery. Everyone else seemed to be happy with the food, except my grandsons, who doesn't like this type of food as I stated earlier. We chose to eat at the Hibachi? You get your own chef, right at your table... He cooks your entrée and entertains you with spatula tossing and pyrotechnics. My grandsons were happy with this except for the fires. This did scare them or should I say, it scared JJ more than anyone. He hid under his jacket the entire dinner and cried.

Something must have changed with Samurai 21 since the last time I was there. Usually it is alot of fun and we come out knowing we got our moneys worth. We were to say the least very disappointed. I am not sure if they changed owners or what. But the people that worked there seemed very blah and didn't seem to enjoy being there. It was like they were going through the motions and that was about it.

I was extremely shocked when I got our bills. Please remember that 2 of the boys did not order dinner. I did order one kids meal at $6.95. They had water since they didn't like this type of food. But I got my check for just my daughter and I and it came to $62.00 and some change. They added an 18% gratuity on top of my bill. They did this for my niece Bridgette and my brother-in-law Craig. Their meals came to over $24.00 each in addition to the same 18% gratuity . I can understand when they say parties of over so many guests there is an automatic gratuity, but there were only 5 meals, of which we were charged over $100.00 after all was said and done and we had terrible service and the people seemed cold and didn't really care. There was actually only 3 meals that was with my party. There should have been no charges for the kids who didn't eat. We were shocked to see the price and if they didn't add the gratuity, there is no way their service or food would have even gotten that much. Normally I tip 20% for great service, they would not have even gotten 10%.

Over all Rating:

Service: The service was ok, but nothing to write home about
Cleanliness: Very Clean
Price: Watch out for hidden costs, can easily cost alot more than going to a really nice place.
Hours: They Open at 4:30 in the afternoon, not sure when they close.
Atmosphere: It was fun for adults, not advisable for toddlers. Not a kid friendly place.

Overall Experience: I use to love going here. Most of the people have changed since the last time I was there, the quality and quantity of food has decreased. I don't think this will be a place where I would recommend people to go to. I feel like I was cheated by the way they did the bill and took advantage. I was suppose to do a special visit for this place, not thinking I will now...

Dixie Care and Share

Normally I do food reviews for restaurants, but I am going to do something a bit different this time. So humor me if you will. Actually it is pretty serious.

Dixie Care and Share- Dixie Care and Share - 131 North 300 West - St. George UT - 435-628-3661 -

Recently Dixie Care and Share had an open house to show the public what it is that they do. I never really took a tour of the place, because I thought it would be some horrible place where people took advantage of others and didn't really want to work to get their own food, housing or services. However that was very far from the truth. I guess that goes to show that I need to pay more attention to what is going on around me. Are you one of those people who think the same thing, or that you can't do anything to help?

Below is a letter that the new Director of Dixie Care and Share put out that day. Ruben Garcia is a man of compassion and just what Dixie Care and Share has needed. Maybe it's time for all of us to look beyond our own comfort zone and see how we can help others in need.

A lot of us doing a little bit will make a difference…

From 2007 through 2009, the number of families in homeless shelters– households with at least one adult and one minor child– leapt to 170,000 from 131,000, according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development
Over 50% of youth in shelters on the streets report that their parents told them to leave or know they were leaving and did not care.
One in Four homeless youth come from the Foster Care System
33% of heterosexual homeless youth have been sexually abused
Less than one in four homeless children will graduate from high school
Every day 12 kids die on the streets of America

The future of our great country is in the hands of our children. How can we comfortably sleep at night when so many of our children are alone, scared and living homeless on the streets?
As the need for what we do at Dixie Care & Share continues to soar it is becoming more and more of a challenge to meet the demands. The outpouring of support we receive from the communities or Washington County, in the form of food and in-kind donations, is exceptional! We couldn’t ask for better volunteers. We are fortunate to enjoy numerous partnerships and collaborations with helping organizations throughout Washington County who support and champion our efforts as we do theirs!

There are substantial costs associated with dispatching services to those in need; and those costs are on the rise! We are in desperate need of on-going financial support so that we can continue to operate and meet the demands. “ A lot of us doing a little bit” is a call to the communities of Washington County for on-going financial support. $100.00 a month, $200.00 a month coming in on an on-going basis from businesses, private donors, service organizations etc. will make a tremendous difference and enable Dixie Care & Share to continue its mission of serving the growing needs of our less fortunate friends and neighbors who’ve fallen on hard times and who depend on services offered at Dixie Care &Share. Please help us continue to make a difference.

Ruben Garcia, Director

Pictures from Dixie Care and Share Open House

Mayor McArthur and his wife bunny showed up and see how much Dixie Care and Share was doing for our community and how much more needs to be done... If you are interested in taking a tour. Ruben or someone that is there would be happy to show you around.

Anyone can come to the pantry where they have breads, sweets, fruits and vegetables. Things change on a daily basis. If people are in need of food, they can go down there Monday thru Friday and get some food. If they are looking for food boxes, they can go down and sign up for those...

Food is always needed and it can be dropped off at Dixie Care and Share... They are also in need of cash donations to help pay the bills which include utilities and all the other stuff that goes into running a place like this...

Dixie Care and Share also offers clean warm beds. The men and women/children are in separate areas... They can get a shower and know they are safe. There are regulations however... Most of the rules are for the good of the person and others. Anyone can call Dixie Care and Share for more of the info on the shelter part.

This area is where people will eat together... They serve them a continental breakfast, bagged lunch and a hot dinner every day...

Quizno's Sunset Corner

This location is now closed...
Was sad to see this one go...

It wasn't to the fault of the management, however they got caught up in the closing of the corporate store closings... It was nice having Quiznos for the 5 months that it was there...

Yes! St. George, Utah has a Quiznos once again. Quiznos strives to make bold, toasty, delicious sub sandwiches to fill your tummy and not break the bank.

Today I went to the Quizno's located at 1901 N Bluff, St. George Utah. You will find it nestled next to the Bajio's and not far from Stadium 8.

As I entered the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was the happy faces on each employees face. I entered the order here line and after looking over the menu board, I decided on the new Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and had them add some sauce to it. That was because I like my Buffalo Chicken hot, I don't want a chicken that is going to threaten and not deliver. This sandwich was not a easy fight, but I won, when my eyes can water from a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, I can say it was AWESOME... It was not wimpy at all...

My grandson had the free, did you hear me "FREE" Kidz Meal... Just that alone made it all worthwhile and he enjoyed his ham and cheese sub with a chocolate chip cookie that had him licking his fingers. When you purchase one regularly priced meal, you get a Kidz Meal for FREE... Yep, I said FREE... I love that word... It just rolls off your tongue so well...

Quiznos is good, but this location is GREAT! Good food combined with terrific service makes this Quiznos exceptional! The store is very clean, and is extremely welcoming. When you walk through the door, they make sure to know that they want you there and you are family.

They do offer the $5.00 large subs and that is pretty nice... I only thought Subway did that, but I learned something new while sitting there. And anyone who has read my reviews also knows that I am not a coke drinker... So this is a major touch down for me... They have Pepsi products... OH YEAH!

Some of the things you will find on their menu is delicious soups. I would recommend the Broccoli Cheddar. They also have Sammies, Bullets, Torpedo's, Salads and various sizes of gourmet subs and menu items that are under 500 calories... You will also find many variety of chips, cookies and other drinks available in their cooler. If you like cookies, you should try them heated up... They taste like they came right out of the oven, delicious.

On Mondays it will be family night and they will be offering family friendly movies and activities... It will begin at 6:00pm...

Atmosphere- I really liked it there. It was laid back and casual. Not fast paced and stressed out.

Overall Experience: I am happy to see that there is another choice for subs in St. George. They offer catering and they are willing to go out of their way to make their customers happy. I will personally be going back again, and since kids eat free, it will be a cost effective choice for me and serving Pepsi is a major plus.
