Sunny's Pizza- Veyo, Utah

Sunny's Pizza
Veyo, Utah
435-275-6170

I figured I would do a food review of a new place that is in my neighborhood. If you live in Veyo, there is now a Pizza place. It is located at the intersection of Spanish Trails on the same side as the Spanish Trails Station.

I am not a huge fan of pizza, but wanted to try this place and if you live in Veyo, you may know that there is no place that delivers. It is really nice that there is a delivery place now in Veyo. If you want to be sure if they deliver to your area, you might want to call the number I provided at the top. We ordered two pizzas. the first was the Sausage, Mushroom and Black Olive. If I am going to have a pizza, this is usually my number one choice. We also ordered a two topping of Sausage and Pepperoni.

Normally my stomach does not handle the pizza sauces to well and I am sick for the night. But this was not the case with this pizza. It isn't overloaded with sauce, but they offer very generous toppings. I'm not sure what kind of crust they use, but tastes like sour dough to me.  They make their own dough which is probably why it tasted so good and all pizzas and sauces are made from scratch and they use only the freshest of veggies and meats... I have yet to try the pasta dishes, I am sure they will be a winner...

My friends came over the following day and shared in the leftovers... The pizzas will more than fulfill that hunger spot in your tummy... Jenn and Scott really liked the pizza as well and when they come to visit, we would have to be sure to order from Sunny's.

They also have dine in and they offer Pepsi Products as well... Another plus in my book. I am going to have to order the Buffalo Wing Pizza the next time and the Chicken Alfredo Pasta.

They offer a variety of pizza options and sauces from what their flyer says: Call for Prices

Overall Experience:

Cleanliness: The actual restaurant seemed very clean, I was only in there a few minutes to get a flyer
Service: They delivered my pizzas and they were warm and he didn't take forever to get me my food.
Prices: Comparable to other places. I thought they were decently priced and the food was worth what I paid.

Other: I think this place is worth a try and they seem very friendly and willing to go out of their way. I will be adding to this when I order the pasta dishes in the future... So if you are headed to Diamond Valley, Enterprise, Pine Valley or just out for a drive. Stop in and have a hot pizza, pasta or ? As a added note to me, be kind and tip. Usually places like this don't get reimbursed for their gas.

IHOP- Washington Utah

IHOP

Today my brother in law Craig and my grandson went to IHOP for breakfast.  This was one of those hit and miss reviews.

We were seated right away and the girl sitting us was fine, nothing great, but ok. We were greeted by our waitress. She asked us for our drink orders and gave JJ his kids menu. Craig and I ordered coffee, which was good, no complaints there and JJ wanted to have apple juice. The nice thing about IHOP which stands for International House of Pancakes is that they offer Pepsi products...

We had to wait for some time after getting our drinks for the waitress to return to take our order... She did ask us if we were ready and I stated we were and she turned around and said that she would be back to get our order when we are ready. Hmmm, I didn't know when she asked us if we were ready if that was an open ended question or an option, but OK!

Finally she got to our table to take our order and I ordered the Mushroom and Spinach and Swiss Omelet w/pancakes instead of toast.  My omelet looked awesome, the only problem I had and it wasn't their fault, it was mine. I forgot to tell them that I didn't want the Hollandaise sauce on it, and I think they put more sauce than eggs in the omelet. I wasn't too happy with mine. Like I said it wasn't their fault. I should have remembered that they put that on the omelet. My pancakes I was totally not happy with. They were doughy and heavy. I took a few bites of them and they were so dry that I couldn't finish eating them... I have problems with bread products anyhow, but this was not what I would expect out of a pancake house.

My brother in law ordered the Breakfast Sampler. He was mostly happy with his order. The Sampler comes with 2 eggs, sausage, 2 strips of bacon, 2 slices of ham, hashbrowns and choice of toast or pancakes. He decided to order the pancakes.  I think he would have been happier with the toast rather than the pancakes. The hash-browns looked alot better than they actually were. They were brown on the top, but the rest was not very crisp and not thoroughly cooked.
JJ ordered the Rooty Junior. He was happy with his food also. He is three years old, so it is always a coin toss as to what he will and won't eat. He loved his apple juice, bacon and sausage. Not too sure on what he thought about the pancakes. He only took one bite and that was about it.

This order actually comes with whipped cream, but I had them leave that off or he would only eat that and nothing else. I think they should let  me order what he had, it would be perfect size for anyone...

What I have found with the particular location is that service all depends on when you come. There are times we get great service, horrible service and like today, it was OK.  The last time I was there, it was awesome. The restrooms needed to be cleaned and I don't like how you have to walk behind the drink station and such to get to the bathrooms which are public.

Overall Rating and Experience:

Cleanliness: For the most part it was clean, bathrooms needed tending however
Customer Service: It was OK... nothing more nothing less
Atmosphere: Family style and friendly
Price: Moderately Priced
Beverages Available:  They offer Pepsi Products

Overall Experience:

It wasn't great, but not totally bad... The one good thing about IHOP is that they offer a really good Fitness and Fit Menu (under 600 calories), they have days where kids and seniors eat free... I didn't catch the days they offer this on, and for a limited time they have brought back the unlimited pancakes. If you want more information on this, then you can call the number at the top of this review.  A positive is that they serve Pepsi as I stated before.  You can also find some good coupons from time to time. They also offer specials in the Dixie Direct Discount Book

Applebee's was our choice of family dinner last night. We got there around 7:20 pm and it was pretty full but we didnt have to wait to be seated which was nice. We all decided on our orders and put them in.

Scott had the Southwest Jalapeño Burger. It had candied jalapeños and chipolte mayo on it. He said it was really good and love the toasted bun it came with. I had the Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger. It was good but the bun was a little over toasted for my liking. It was a good sized burger and I will order it again.

The kids all had kids meals. Scotti had the 2 cheeseburger meal with french fries. We asked them to add bacon his burgers and they did graciously. Zuriah had the grilled cheese with french fries. She really had a good time eating those yummy fries. She liked her sandwich too. JayAnna also got a kids meal which was good for her. She had the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese which she ate all of.

We decided to order dessert which was a chore in itself trying to find a dessert for the family. WE had to hunt down someone to give us a dessert menu. We finally decided on the Triple Chocolate Meltdown. Meltdown is a good name for this dessert. It has 3 different chocolate on/in it. It is a warm chocolate cake with hot fudge, white chocolate and chocolate drizzled over it and the ice cream.

We also decided on the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae. it is suppose to a warm cokie with ice cream and chocolate drizzle and whipped cream on it. Ours didnt quite match the description as our cookie was not that warm and very hard to cut through to eat it.

It was a good dinner but as people were leaving the service got a lax and it was hard to find our server to get a to go box or even to ask a question.

Cleanliness: It was clean and no issues
Customer Service: Food was good, service was laxing and could have been improved upon
Atmosphere: Busy but good
Price: Moderately Priced and have some good deals
Beverages Available:  They offer Pepsi Products and do have a bar...

Overall Experience:
All in all it was good food and atmosphere. The service could have a been better and a little more friendly. Note: This review has a thumb sup for food and a thumbs down for service.
