Carl's Jr/Green Burrito
Mon-Sat:6am - 11pm, Sun:7am - 10pm
My grandson and I decided to go to Carl's Jr after he got out of preschool... Normally on Weds I will pick him up from school and take him out and then take him to Karate lessons... This week was no different... Except he wanted to go to Carl's Jr since they are fast... That was not the case at all...
As soon as we walked in, I was thinking it would be pretty fast since there was only one other family there and they were already eating... NOPE! I was wrong... They were slower than I expected... There was 3-4 employees there... One was sweeping and not sure what the others were or weren't doing... We ordered a kids meal for him... And I ordered a basic bacon cheeseburger... Nothing fancy... I also had a Diet Coke... They do have other options for fountain drinks if you aren't a Coke drinker like me...
Eventually we got our food with about 5 minutes to spare... My grandson gets out of school at 3:15 and we had arrived a few minutes after that... We had to leave around 10 till 4 to get him to karate lessons... That will tell you how long it took to get our order... I was a bit ticked by this time... In my opinion cold fries are nasty and inedible... And that's how I would have taken pictures of the food, but it took so long and we had to rush... My grandson got to take 2 bites out of his food and that was about it...
I do want to give credit to the one off of I15 and and the mall area... They have much faster service and I have never had a problem with that location...
I did try to the Green Burrito and I don't see what the big deal is about them... If I want a good burrito or one somewhat good and have little time, I will go to Taco Time on St. George Blvd or Taco Bell on Sunset... I'm not much for fast food and this is where JJ wanted to go... Let's say that this GG will over ride that option next time, lol...
I would have to give this a thumbs down review... Unless something changes drastically, this is a location I wouldn't go to again... Just my opinion...

Buca di Beppo is best described as a family-style Italian restaurant... If you don't know what that means, it is simple... When you sit down at your dinner table at home and your mom or whoever prepares your food, they place it on the table and you pass the plates around and enjoy each others company... This is what you get Buca di Beppo's... It's like having a family dinner in a restaurant without the cleanup... OH YEAH...
The first thing I noticed was the decor... Since moving to St. George, I don't think I have seen a place like this...
At first when we looked at the menu we were thinking it was a bit pricey... That was until our waiter explained to us that it is Family-Style dining...I happen to like this form of going out to dinner...If I was to open a restaurant, family dining is the kind I would go for...
The atmosphere was awesome and fun... You felt like you were in an Italian Restaurant and Mamma was in the kitchen cooking... A plus for me too is when you walk into a restuarant whether it is Mexican, American or Italian, you would want to hear the music from that country... Atleast I do... I would say they hit a home run with bringing Italy to St. George, Utah...
My husband and I ordered the Chicken Parmasean with a side a garlic mash potatoes... The chicken was boneless chicken breast that was lightly breaded and fried... So many times many places over bread and you don't get the full flavor of the meat... This was not the case...We also tried the Penne San Remo... Now this is my kind of pasta... It has artichoke hearts, tender chicken breast, peas, sun-dried tomatoes and nestled together in a spicy rosa sauce...There was so much food, we had to take it home and then have some tomorrow...
They have a very large selection of pastas, pizza, breads and the list goes on... You can check out their online menu... It will give you a better idea... They do dine in, carry out, parties, catering and not sure what else...

They also have this room called the Popes Room... It is way cool... Really the whole place is interesting... If people weren't eating, I would have taken alot of pictures and looked around more...
As we were being seated, they brought out warm bread and a major plus for me is that they serve Pepsi products... Oh yeah... This is my kind of place...I was very surprised to hear that they have only been open a couple of days... The waiters, hostesses and manager had it down... They were all great and personable... One of the main things I notice when I go to a restaurant is how the manager interacts with his staff and the customers... Only a handful of managers that I have seen will go out and make sure everything is OK and talk to the guests... Brendon S. was the manager I talked to as he was making his rounds... I appreciate when a manager can take the time to find out how his restaurant is doing and interacting with everyone... That is a good manager...
The Popes Room |
Overall Experience: Magnifico... I will for sure be going back there... Next time I think I will have to try their desserts... They look so yummy...
For those who have been in St. George for awhile, Bucas is where the old Ruby Tuesdays was at... It is outside the Red Cliffs Mall along Redcliffs Drive...
Camille's Sidewalk Cafe- St. George, Utah

I wasn't sure what was on the menu since I didn't check out the menu before heading over there... Friends of mine wanted us to do a review and this was the perfect opportunity to do that...Closed on Sundays
Napa Valley Chicken Panini |
My brother in law ordered a Club Nouveau Wrap... That was filled with turkey breast, jasmine rice, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, parmesan, pesto-mayo and ceasar dressing... I asked him how he liked his choice and he said it was good... He did seem to be pleased with his selection... His wrap also came with the tri-colored corn chips...
They offer Coke products in addition to teas, coffee, and bottled drinks... I'm not a fan of Coke, but thankfully they have other things to drink :) They have a pretty good size selection of beverages... They also offer smoothies...
There is many great offerings on their menu... The headings on their menu selections include;
- Breakfast Items
- Kids Menu
- Wraps. Natu-Wraps
- Grilled Hot Wraps
- Sandwiches
- Create Your Own- Half Sandwhich, Soups and Salads...
- Panini's
- Flatbread Pizza's
- Salads
- Soups
- Desserts
- Low Carb Offerings
- Smoothies
They also have free Wi-Fi... It is very clean and it has a positive and relaxing place to go to... They do offer coupons through mailing and you may come across one in other places... I'm not sure of where the coupons are all located at... If the owners come over and read the review, maybe they can let us know... They also offer catering, dine in and carry out...
I must say that the cheesecake they have there looked awesome... That is something I will have to try the next time I go there...
The only negative is I had a hard time trying to get into Camille's Sidewalk Cafe and it wasn't their fault... We came in off of St. George Blvd heading towards the freeway... And we had to make a left at the light and go through another parking lot... Then we had to go down a steep decline that is pretty sharp... If you are coming down St. George Blvd heading towards Bluff Street, it is really easy... I'm really bad at knowing my North, East, South and West... If you have questions, I would call Camille's, they could give you better directions :)
Overall Experience: This is a place where I would take a friend for a nice relaxing lunch... I will for sure be going back to try out some of the other menu items... I would give it a thumbs up... I liked that the item I ordered was light and it was the perfect size... I wasn't fond of the salsa... But that is only because it is a sweeter salsa and I like something with a bite to it... My brother in law really liked it...The service was fast and friendly... The have inside seating which is where we sat... It is too hot around here to sit outside right now in the middle of the day... But if it was in the evening or morning, I could see us sitting outside on the patio... It's a very nice place that isn't overly priced...

It has been a very long time since I was last at the Outback Steakhouse in St. George, Utah... Usually when I go past the Zion Factory Outlets, it's too late for me to turn into the Outback... I have never had bad service, it was mostly due to timing...
I was very pleased with the service we received today... When we first arrived we were immediately seated and less than a minute Jessica was there with the warm bread and butter... She then took our orders for drinks... The one thing I don't like, but many will is that they serve Coke instead of Pepsi... It is just a personal preference of mine... But they do offer other selections in case you don't like Coke... I decided on the Ice Tea... Jessica was great, I never had a empty glass...

The manager Ramee came over to our table to make sure everything was good... One thing that impresses me is when the manager of an establishment will take the time to come out to talk to the customer... Too bad other restaurants don't do this... It's nice to know that they care about the customer and that they are having a good experience... Even the server Stacy (Gentleman) was great... He was professional and made sure everything was good...
